The monument to the janitor can rightfully be called a landmark of the city. Being at the intersection of the central streets, he vigilantly guards peace and cleanliness, causing smiles and approval of passers-by. Our janitor is a bit old-fashioned, most likely, he cleaned the streets of our city at the beginning of the XX century. It was at that time that the profession of a janitor flourished.
He not only swept, but also managed the order, was the owner of the house, and he was also subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and issued foreign passports to residents. And although in subsequent years the status of the janitor's profession has noticeably fallen, residents and guests of Tyumen are happy to be photographed against the background of a cute peasant.
