To get double pleasure from a walk in the historic center of Tyumen, you can stop by the Tamriko café, which is located at 13 Dzerzhinskogo Street. More than a hundred years ago, the building belonged to the merchant Ragozina and served as a hotel. According to local historians, travelers stopped at the house while waiting for steamships and trains.
Today, you can enjoy Georgian cuisine admiring partially preserved old interiors (two fireplaces, as well as curtain rods and decorated plafonds).
The baroque style wooden three-dimensional carving on the platbands gives to the building a unique charm. Here you can discern the grapes bunches, leaves, and flowers.
Such a beautiful view of the building is preserved thanks to the efforts of entrepreneurs. In the late 90s of the 20th century, a businessperson, who restored and opened in it a Tamriko café, bought the house. Since then, more than 20 years have passed, and the building never stops pleasing.
