You can accomplish a journey of nine thousand years by visiting the Archaeological Museum-Reserve, located on the shore of Andreevsky Lake.
Despite the harsh conditions, people were able to live here in the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, the Iron Age and the Middle Age.
The archaeological finds, dated from the 8th millennium BC to the 15-16th centuries, presented at the exhibition From the Depths of Centuries, confirm those facts.
Clay shards, sinkers and figurines of birds and snakes, arrowheads of the Stone Age and Neolithic times, as well as more elegant and late finds – glass and gilded beads, bronze idol and other artifacts will acquaint you with the life and spiritual culture of our ancestors.
Also here you will learn about the shamanic traditions of the northerners, and you will be able to see the reconstruction of the traditional dwellings of Khanty, Mansi and Nenets.
You will enjoy fascinating immersion in the history of the region – mysterious and compelling. Are you with us?
