The house was built at the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries and belonged to the middle-class woman F. R. Trapeznikova. But the became famous when in 1836 the Decembrist Ivan D. Yakushkin began to rent rooms there. The mistress of the house lived on the first floor, and Yakushkin – on the second.
The house is unique indeed. Inside, the life of that time was recreated. Even the personal belongings of the Decembrist have survived, for example, manuscripts and books. For those who like to feel the history, to see with their own eyes how the great people of that time lived, and who cherish antiques, it is strongly recommended to visit this place.
