The decoration of the Popovs house, at first sight, reminds a strict suit with starched collars. But if you look closely, you can see a lot of intricate details – pointed turrets, crowned with small domes; figured, like a paper, attic, carved platbands.
This beauty appeared in the vicinity of the elegant house of Chiralova and not accidentally – the owner’s wife Virineya was the eldest daughter of the Chiralovs.
The mansion was built in less than a year. By the end of 1912, the Popovs was already celebrating a housewarming. The city commission estimated the cost of the house at 7,000 rubles. That at the rate of 2017 (according to Forbes calculations, one gold ruble at the beginning of the 20th century is approximately US $ 12) is just over 80,000 USD.
Look, what a beauty Tyumen craftsmen created for such a budget.
